There are two main types of travel wallets in the market. The first is the widely used wallet with a waist belt where it fixes very comfortably around anyone’s waist. These types of travel wallets are usually made up of water proof, yet durable and light weighted material. They are sufficiently large to accommodate passports, traveler’s checks and other such important documents. If you are to use this type of travel wallet, it should ideally be worn underneath your street clothing to hide it away from pickpockets.

The second type is a leather zippered case which has separate compartments for the passport, credit cards, identity cards, traveler’s checks, boarding pass, cash etc. The only disadvantage of this sort of travel wallet is that it comes with a hand strap thus; you are not able to tie it around the waist but have to carry it by hand or inside another bag. I highly recommend the first type as it is more secure; however the choice is solely up to you.
